What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Course Superintendent position at Legacy Hills Golf Club?
The successful applicant will be responsible for the maintenance of an 18-hole golf course. This includes ordering fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides and applying them according to the conditions and the laws. Must maintain a log for chemical application according to local and state standards. Must possess a Pesticide Applicator's License and keep licenses up to date at all times.
The Superintendent will also be responsible for managing and delegating assignments / tasks to the golf course maintenance crew. To that end, it is preferred that applicants have at least two years of supervising experience. The applicant should also be knowledgeable with all golf course equipment and be able to use and maintain an irrigation system. Knowledge of the Rainbird irrigation system is preferred.
The successful applicant will also possess good communication skills and must be able to provide the Board of Directors with an annual golf course maintenance budget.
Based on weather conditions, the Superintendent will typically work from March through November.
Pay and benefits are negotiable based on experience.
