Position Summary: As an Install/Start-Up Technician, you'll be responsible for the installation, start-up, and commissioning of commercial refrigeration and HVAC control systems. You'll ensure all systems perform to specifications, verify wiring and control logic, and maintain quality standards for a smooth project handoff to customers.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record
- Minimum 2 years of experience in refrigeration or controls installation/start-up
- Valid 06A HVAC Electrical license is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of refrigeration systems, electrical wiring, and control sequences
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Experience with control system programming or commissioning is preferred
- EPA certification
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Must have a reliable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with commercial refrigeration start-up and commissioning
- Familiarity with building automation or control systems (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls)
- Sheet metal or piping installation experience
- NATE Certification or equivalent trade credentials
