What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Accountant position at Legacy Accounting & Financial Services LLC?
We are looking for a motivated accountant to join our staff at our Wisconsin Rapids, WI location.
This position will work on a wide variety of accounting engagements including individual and business income taxes, sales taxes, payroll taxes and financial statement preparation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare individual and business income tax returns
- Prepare compiled and reviewed financial statements
- Assist clients with the payroll process including report filings and payroll tax deposits
- Assist clients with sales tax issues and sales tax form preparation
- Assist clients with various accounting related questions
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- CPA license or eligible and motivated to sit for the Certified Public Accountant exam
- Prior public accounting experience preferred but not required
- Strong analytical skills
- High level of technical skills
- Ability to handle multiple task
- Experience with QuickBooks and/or Sage 50 a plus
