General Business Accountant

This position could be full-time or part-time depending on the applicants situation.
Summary

In this position you will be providing in-house accounting services to clients such as payroll, accounting software assistance and setup, and general accounting assistance. During the tax season you will also assist in the preparation of income tax returns
Job Functions
- Process payrolls, make direct deposits, prepare monthly, quarterly and annual payroll reports.
- Record daily transactions
- Assist with bank reconciliations
- QuickBooks and Sage 50 setup and training
- Prepare individual income tax returns
Education/Experience Required
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting preferred but we will train the right person
- 1-3 years of related experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Possess strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Possess sound judgment and decision making skills.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and/or Sage 50 preferred.
- Experience in income tax preparation preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
