Join Our Team as a Counselor at LEEP Forward/Quantum LEEP Academy!
Are you a dedicated Counselor passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children? LEEP Forward/Quantum LEEP Academy invites you to join our multidisciplinary therapeutic clinic and K-12 independent education program, focusing on social and emotional development for children aged 3-18 with various developmental differences, including autism.
What We’re Looking For:
To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following characteristics and skills:
- Leadership Qualities: Ability to coach and mentor peers effectively.
- Collaboration Skills: Strong capacity to work with paraprofessionals, staff, related service providers, and administration.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to engage with parents and multidisciplinary teams.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proficient in crisis management and developing effective solutions.
- Experience with Developmental Differences: Background in working with children with autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, or other developmental delays.
- Cultural Fit: A fiercely positive, hardworking, flexible, team-oriented, organized, proactive individual with a sense of humor and a playful, humble, and self-reflective nature.
Qualifications:
- LPC/Masters in Counseling
- Preferred experience working with children with developmental differences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate assessments and care plans.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide both group and individual therapeutic support tailored to the unique needs of children.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality programming.
- Communicate effectively with parents about assessments, care plans, and progress.
- Utilize strong problem-solving and crisis-management skills to support children in various situations.
Work Hours and Benefits:
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM
- Clinical Supervision
