This is a full-time, on-site role located in Chicago, IL, for a Counselor. The Counselor will support students academically, socially, and emotionally to foster their development and success. Responsibilities include providing individual and group counseling, guiding students in academic planning, career exploration, and college preparation, collaborating with teachers and families to create supportive learning environments, and addressing any barriers to learning or well-being.
- Proficiency in counseling, crisis intervention, and mental health support
- Experience in academic advising, career guidance, and post-secondary planning
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to assess student needs and develop actionable support plans
- Knowledge of social-emotional learning strategies and diverse student populations
- Master's degree in School Counseling, Social Work, or related field
- Possession of a valid Professional Educator License with a School Counselor or related endorsement
