We are looking for an early childhood educator with preschool teaching or childcare experience, with an understanding of research-based preschool curriculum and knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices. The person filling this position should be able to problem solve positively and work collaboratively within a team. They should be able to work with diverse families and engage parents as partners in their child’s learning and well-being. In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement an enriching play-based curriculum for a mixed-age preschool classroom (3 - 5 years old).
- Design engaging learning experiences that ignite curiosity, foster social-emotional development, and celebrate each child's unique strengths.
- Work closely with families and co-teachers to assess children's progress, document learning, and communicate effectively through meetings, conferences, and written communication
- Foster a love of learning through play and model positive classroom management and care.
We are seeking someone who:
- Possesses (or able to pursue) an ECE Lead Teacher or Teacher certification. (Associates, Bachelors in Early Childhood Education, or related fields preferred.)
- Brings prior experience teaching young children and possesses an understanding of child development. At least 2 years experience is preferred.
- Embraces and is knowledgeable about project-based learning and the power of play in early childhood education.
- Has a genuine passion for preschoolers, valuing each child's individuality and fostering joyful connections.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm, initiative, patience, and a commitment to creating a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment.
- Thrives in a collaborative, community-centered atmosphere.
- Maintains a commitment to professionalism, proactive communication and collaboration with the community.

Experience Preferred:

Salary pay based on hours and employee credentials and experience, $38,000-$45,000 school year salary (based on 21 pay periods 8/24/2026-6/10/2027
