Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and give correct change while maintaining accuracy in math calculations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and customer seating areas, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing any special requests or dietary needs.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when needed, ensuring food safety protocols are followed.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly while maintaining high-quality beverage and food standards.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in food service roles within cafés or the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of beverage service techniques and non-alcoholic drink preparation.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail transactions.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing sales records.
- Ability to handle food safely, including proper food handling and preparation procedures.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail.
