What you’ll Do:
The Shipping & Receiving is responsible for receiving, inspecting, documenting, and shipping materials and products in a warehouse environment. This position ensures accurate inventory control, timely shipments, and compliance with company quality and safety standards.
Core Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming materials for damage and report discrepancies.
- Accurately enter receiving and shipping information into inventory management systems.
- Prepare products for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate with warehouse, production, and customer service teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain organized inventory and storage locations.
- Conduct cycle counts and assists with physical inventories.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred.
- Experience using inventory control systems, scanners, and shipping software is a plus.
- Ability to read, understand, and complete shipping and receiving documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in a distribution, manufacturing, or warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and barcode scanning equipment.
