POSITION SUMMARY
To perform this job successfully, the Warehouse Lead is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations for the warehouse function to ensure efficient operations and a safe working environment. The Warehouse Lead must be able to operate electrical power industrial truck or liquid propane gas (LPG) sit-down or stand-up forklift with lifting devices such as, push-pull, elevating platform and/or trailer hitch to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Lead the assigned workload and help personnel.
- Help the Warehouse Supervisor with planning, implementing, and monitoring the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse function to ensure established procedures for shipping, product rotation, sanitation, safety, and timeliness are met or exceeded.
- Help monitor loading, and receiving plans are met and suggest appropriate changes as necessary.
- Help monitor product damages.
- Help promote and maintain a safe work environment.
- Help inform and communicate with teammates on warehouse productivity, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures to ensure OSHA compliance.
- Ensure that accidents and workers’ compensation claims are reported to Warehouse Supervisor for investigation and reporting action.
- Help resolve workplace conflicts utilizing positive employee relations.
- Help ensure that all warehouse equipment is operated properly and safely.
- Help plan and coordinate vehicle and equipment maintenance utilizing logs.
- Help assign necessary housekeeping tasks to ensure a neat, clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Ensure that all normal forklift driver duties/tasks are performed as required
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position directly and indirectly monitors 20 staff in the Warehouse Function.
QUALIFICATIONS

A. EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
- This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent education; and a minimum of 2 years of forklift operating experience in warehouse environment.
- Ideal candidate must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations in a practical manner.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and/or oral form.
- Must be able to safely drive and operate a forklift.
B. LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Successful candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Chinese is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with ability to present favorable company image to staff and customers.
- Effectively communicate safety policies, practices, and procedures to meet safety objectives.
C. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ideal candidate must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with ability to operate in units of US currency, and measure in units of volume.
D. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Regularly required to sit; stand; talk; and hear.

- Specific vision ability is required, including close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus and adjust focus.
E. WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and explosives.
