Position Overview
As an Interiors Superintendent at Lee Kennedy Company, you will play a critical role in managing all aspects of field operations for interior fit-out and renovation projects. You will lead with strong organizational and scheduling expertise, ensuring seamless coordination of trades and precise execution of high-quality interior finishes. With a proactive approach to safety, quality, and schedule, you will drive day-to-day field operations in fast-paced, occupied, or phased environments. In this role, you will serve as the primary field leader, collaborating closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, trade partners, and clients to deliver interior projects on time, on budget, and to LKCO’s highest standards of quality and safety.

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000–$160,000 annually, representing the company’s good-faith and reasonable estimate of potential compensation at the time of posting. Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Partner with the Project Manager to actively manage GC/GR costs, budgets, and projections.
- Review, track, and approve subcontractor T&M slips, invoices, and cost exposures.
- Ensure proper documentation and cost coding for all labor, change orders, and allowances.
- Train field staff on cost review processes and support transparency in financial reporting.
- Lead project start-up, mobilization, and resource planning in collaboration with preconstruction and project teams.
- Maintain project organization and documentation using Procore, including daily reports, RFIs, and closeout requirements.
- Oversee submittal and procurement processes, identifying scope gaps and aligning material needs with schedules.
- Manage permitting requirements, NFPA 241 Plans, and coordinate with permitting authorities to avoid delays.
- Participate in meetings, track project hot lists, and ensure accurate, timely communication of priorities.
- Develop and maintain a 3-week look-ahead schedule that reflects real-time site conditions.
- Adjust material and equipment deliveries to meet project milestones.
- Identify risks, forecast potential challenges, and develop recovery plans in collaboration with the General Superintendent.
- Monitor schedule progress, proactively communicating updates to the team and client.
- Lead implementation of LKCO’s safety program, including Siteform audits and subcontractor kickoff meetings.
- Manage QA/QC processes to ensure work meets project specifications and code compliance.
- Conduct trade-specific kickoff and pre-installation meetings to mitigate risk.
- Ensure that all subcontractors meet insurance and contractual requirements before mobilization.
- Support LKCo’s long-term strategies by staying current on industry innovations, tools, and best practices.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of union autonomy, workforce management, and EEO compliance.
- Mentor junior staff through training, development, and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain required licenses, certifications, and credentials to support project needs.
- Lead by example in professionalism, punctuality, safety practices, and integrity.
- Extensive field experience in commercial construction, with a strong focus on interior fit-outs and complex, fast-paced projects.
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple trades, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to tight schedules.
- Strong financial, scheduling, and administrative acumen, including cost control and subcontractor management.
- Deep knowledge of safety practices, quality control, and risk management, particularly within interior construction environments.
- Proficient in Procore and other industry-standard project management tools for documentation, coordination, and reporting.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive field operations and maintain strong relationships with clients and trade partners.
- Holds all required licenses, certifications, and credentials.
