Construction Foreman
Summary:
Responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and directing all field activities to assure the project is successfully completed on schedule. The foreman supervises crews and equipment, coordinates installation of all trade work, administers good construction safety practices on all on-site activities, and ensures project schedule is met. The foreman also maintains the job site office and proactively assists the Project Manager with project execution.
Qualifications:
1. Must be able to read, interpret and coordinate drawings and blueprints.
2. Must be able to provide 2 week look ahead schedules
3. Experienced in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of construction.
4. Strong building knowledge of all scopes of construction and ability to manage subcontractors.
5. Minimum of 3 years of project supervision experience in commercial construction..
6. Professional, organized, self-starter with strong supervisory skills.
7. Strong written and oral communication skills.
8. Ability to analyze problems and make sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, implications and costs.
9. Ability to interface with clients and lead meetings.
10. Solid working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
11. Procore experience preferred.
12. Understanding of OSHA and safety guidelines; OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred.
13. Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License.
14.Experience in healthcare construction is a plus
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Plan, coordinate and supervise on-site operations. Supervise labor and subcontractors to ensure productivity, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance.
2. Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.
3. Orders materials and schedule inspections as necessary throughout the process.
4. Assists (Senior) Project Manager with preparation, scheduling and supervision of the completion of the final punch list.
5. Maintains positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers and other employees.
6. Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately.
7. Maintains an organized job site, including the construction office.
8. Creates and maintains project log of daily reports.
9. Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts.
10. Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures. Take corrective actions as needed.
11. Inspect work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, identify deficiencies, explain, and take corrective action as needed.
12. Comply, understand, and support company safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment. Identify job site safety hazards and take all necessary corrective actions to eliminate or minimize them.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
