General Statement of Duties
Under general supervision, but following established policies and procedures, this position is responsible for the processing of commercial loans. Provides support to all areas of the Commercial Banking department by preparation of documents, tracking files, ensuring conformity of documents to policies and regulations, and maintaining various reports. Regular interaction with clients, attorneys and others with questions about loan payments, payoffs, other transactions and basic loan questions in a professional manner.
Essential Functions
- Coordinates preparation of commercial loans and commercial real estate loan documents under the direction of commercial banking officers and the credit department.
- Frequent contact and interaction with customers, attorneys, accountants and other professionals for the completion of assigned tasks.
- Recognizes the appropriate documents for each type of loan and obtains any missing/incomplete documents.
- Ensures that documentation adheres to bank policies and laws and regulations applicable to the extension of credit.
- Performs specialized servicing tasks and conducts research to resolve account problems.
- Responsible for regular required tracking and reporting on SBA guaranteed loans.
- Works in conjunction with the Compliance Officer on compliance regarding commercial loan files. Assists in preparing responses to the bank’s outside Compliance Consultant regarding commercial loan findings.
- Complies with all applicable regulatory requirements and performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- A minimum of four years’ experience in a banking position with progressively increasing responsibilities is required in lieu of a formal education.
- A college degree may be substituted for some experience level.
- Ability to work accurately and effectively in a fast-moving work environment
- 4 years’ experience in lending, consumer or commercial.
- Familiarity with Laserpro loan documentation a plus.
- Experience with SBA loans and loan processing requirements a plus.
Training and Compliance
Specific compliance training is assigned for this position upon hire, transfer and annually. It is expected that all assigned training will be completed in the time allotted.
Position Type/Work Schedule
Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
