Duties
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure timely service
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and trash disposal
- Support food running and serving duties to ensure guests receive their orders promptly
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting and safe lifting practices for ingredients and supplies
- Buss tables and clear dishes efficiently to keep dining areas tidy and organized
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing when needed
- Support banquet or special event setups by preparing ingredients and assisting with service needs
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is functioning properly and report any maintenance issues
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments with a strong understanding of food handling and safety standards
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and serve guests professionally
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient order management
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and guest service best practices
- Experience with cleaning routines, bussing tables, and maintaining hygiene standards in busy settings
- Strong customer service orientation with in-person guest interaction skills
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous banquet experience or culinary background is a plus but not required
