Tax Consultant

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Tax Consultant to join their team in North Carolina. This role is an exciting opportunity for a tax professional to work with a diverse client base, providing comprehensive tax consulting services.

• Prepare and review individual, partnership, S corp, C corp, fiduciary, and non-profit income tax returns and extensions for a diverse client base.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and be the main point of contact between the firm and the client.
• Engage in tax planning to optimize client financial positions.
• Prepare and review personal property tax returns, payroll tax returns, estimated tax payments, and depreciation schedules.
• Research and resolve federal and state income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax issues.
• Respond to and resolve client tax notices from IRS and state agencies.
  
  

• Experience in preparing and reviewing various types of tax returns.
• Strong client relationship management skills.
• Proficiency in tax planning and strategy development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in resolving tax-related issues.
• Ability to respond effectively to IRS and state tax notices.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  
  

The position requires availability from Monday through Friday, with standard business hours.

The role offers a competitive pay range of $43 to $55 per hour, with minimal travel time required.

The position requires around 0% travel time, ensuring a stable work-life balance for the successful candidate.
