Position Overview
The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the accounting function, particularly around the monthly close process, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid foundation in accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank and general ledger accounts
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Support variance analysis and provide insights to management
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
- Assist with audits and other ad hoc financial projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- 3-4 years of relevant accounting experience
- Hands-on experience with:
- Month-end close procedures
- Financial reporting
- Account reconciliations
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems/ERP platforms
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
