Accounts Receivable (up to $35/hr)

Ledgent Finance and Accounting has an immediate opening with a business services partner near the Bloomington area.

• Pay: $27-$35/hr
• Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
• Onsite
• Contract 4-5 months

• Manage the full-cycle accounts receivable process for assigned customer accounts.
• Create and maintain customer accounts, credit information, and billing records.
• Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on a timely basis.
• Review sales orders, contracts, and supporting documentation to ensure accurate billing.
• Post daily cash receipts, ACH payments, wire transfers, and checks.
• Research and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, and payment discrepancies.
• Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate payment records.
• Monitor customer aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due balances.
• Contact customers regarding outstanding invoices through phone and email communication.
• Investigate billing issues and collaborate with customers and internal departments to resolve disputes.
• Document collection efforts and account status updates
• Reconcile accounts receivable balances and customer statements.
• Prepare aging reports and collection summaries for management.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation.

• 2 years of Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collections, or related accounting experience.
• Experience managing high-volume invoicing and cash application.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and data analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
