Location: San Clemente, CA (Onsite)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | Start time ~8:00-8:30 AM (flexible)

Compensation: $24-27/hour

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Our client, a construction/stonemasonry firm in San Clemente, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day accounting operations. This is a newly created role ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform credit card reconciliations receipt tracking and expense data entry (up to ~$125K/month)

· Assist with accounts payable and receivable data entry for 3-4 entities

· Track and manage payment deadlines and due dates

· Support payroll processing time & attendance for 80 employees (ADP Workforce Now - basic tasks)

· Open and distribute mail; assist with front office duties (open mail, answer phones, greet visitors) *this is very light duty, low traffic

· Assist with HR processing, files, and field employee requests (new hire onboarding, forms, exit packets) and application reviews

· Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Desktop

· Support ad hoc projects and assist other team members as needed

Qualifications

· 1-2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (internships welcome)

· Experience with QuickBooks (Desktop preferred; Online considered)

· Basic Excel skills (data entry, formulas, tracking, reconciliations) Intermediate

· Exposure to ADP Workforce Now is a plus

· Comfortable working in a construction and hands-on business environment
