Senior AccountantPosition OverviewLedgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join their team in California. The ideal candidate will have a background in county, government, or engineering accounting, and be familiar with utility and municipal financial operations. It is highly preferred that the candidate have experience with the Tyler Munis system (or related ERPs) and experience managing general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and contracts/contracts administration.ResponsibilitiesUtilize the Tyler Munis system to manage financial operations.Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.Handle billing processes and manage contracts efficiently.Apply expertise in county, government, and engineering financial practices.Leverage experience in utilities, government, county, and municipal accounting.Collaborate with departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.Assist with financial audits and ensure adherence to regulations.Qualifications2-3 years of experience in county, government, or engineering accounting. Overall 4-5 yrs of accounting/finance experience.Proficiency with the Tyler Munis system is highly preferred or other ERPs.
