What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gardening: Property Maintenance Team Member (Seasonal) position at Ledgehill Landscaping?
Overview Ledgehill Landscaping is a landscape company based out of the Augusta area. We are looking to add a seasonal individual to help take on some of the day-to-day responsibilities on our job sites such as mulching/gardening, spring/fall cleanups, garden bed maintenance, and much more. As a full-service landscape company, we also do earthwork, hardscaping, and tree work. We are looking to hire someone who has previous experience in the landscaping industry, and wants to grow their skillset with the company.
Job Description: The main purpose of this position is to work as part of a crew to service the company's mulching and gardening jobs, while also helping with project-based work, as well as spring/fall cleanups. Must be comfortable operating a truck/trailer and other small equipment. Starting pay is dependent on experience ($20-$24/hr)

- Organize daily workflow to minimize downtime between properties
- Monitor time spent per property
- Reduce material waste
- Ensure proper technique to avoid rework

- Deliver high-quality grounds work that leads to repeat business
- Maintain consistency across all properties serviced
- Maintain production pace during peak mulch and cleanup seasons
- Contribute ideas for improving horticulture operations

- Maintain organized trailers, tool storage, and trucks.
- Keep plant beds clean and debris-free during work
- Maintain property notes for recurring services
- Ensure trucks are cleaned and stocked daily
Create an outstanding customer experience
- Respect client property at all times
- Maintain clean edges and defined bases lines
- Ensure mulch depth and coverage is consistent
- Address client questions professionally
- Leave properties noticeably improved
Specialize in your part of the business, be generalized in all other aspects
- Develop strong knowledge of plant care, pruning techniques, and bed maintenance
- Understand proper mulching practices and seasonal timing
- Stay informed on plant health and common regional issues
- Continue building expertise in horticulture standards
- Maintain adaptability during seasonal transitions
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation to and from work
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Previous landscaping experience (Seasonal cleanups/mulching/gardening)
- Ability to operate equipment in a safe and professional manner (Ex: company trucks, tractors, small power equipment)
- Experience with reversing trailers
- Good attitude with an eagerness to learn/grow
- Good communication skills with supervisors/clients
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
