What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations & Production Manager position at LEDdynamics?
- Lead daily manufacturing operations and production execution
- Establish and maintain an effective daily production cadence
- Monitor production schedules, capacity, labor utilization, and workflow
- Remove obstacles that impact throughput, quality, or on-time delivery
- Drive accountability and communication across the operation
- Support quality and continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee production planning and materials availability
- Work closely with purchasing and materials planning teams
- Improve inventory management and inventory accuracy
- Support supplier performance and lead-time improvement efforts
- Ensure production schedules align with customer commitments
- Improve operational workflows and information flow across departments
- Drive better utilization of ERP and business systems
- Improve BOM accuracy, routing accuracy, and production data integrity
- Identify and implement process improvements that reduce cost and increase efficiency
- Support development of scalable operational processes as the business grows
- Lead and develop production and operational personnel
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Build strong working relationships across production, engineering, customer service, and sales
- Promote a positive, hands-on, problem-solving environment
Qualifications:
- 5 years of manufacturing, operations, production, or supply chain leadership experience
- Experience managing production teams in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, and supply chain operations
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes, workflows, and operational performance
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to engage directly in operational challenges
Preferred:
- Experience in electronics manufacturing, LED lighting, electromechanical products, or related industries
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with manufacturing engineering and product introduction processes
