Are you ready to take the next step toward a career as a Nursing Home Administrator? LECOM Institute for Successful Living is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and results-driven Administrator-in-Training (AIT) to join our leadership development program. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in skilled nursing facility operations while working directly with an experienced Nursing Home Administrator and Regional Administrator. The AIT program requires approximately 800–1,000 training hours, consistent with the program's stated licensure pathway. The training program typically lasts 6–15 months, depending on your previous education and experience, with opportunities for continued advancement following licensure.
What You Will Learn
As an AIT, you will receive structured exposure to the major departments and functions of a skilled nursing facility. You will learn through observation, hands-on participation, supervised assignments, coaching, and mentorship.We are looking for someone who wants to make long-term care leadership a career—not just a job.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing Home Administration, or a related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in healthcare or senior living preferred
- Supervisory or management experience is beneficial but not required
- Must meet Pennsylvania eligibility requirements for AIT enrollment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organization, time management, and prioritization skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions-focused during challenging situations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Commitment to completing all required licensure and regulatory requirements
Requirement
- Completion of the 120-hour Nursing Home Administrator Core of Knowledge program.
