Autistic Support Teacher

Position Summary

A Pennsylvania school district is seeking a certified Special Education Teacher to provide individualized instruction, develop and implement IEPs, and support students in inclusive and specialized settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction aligned with PA standards and district curriculum.
• Develop and implement IEPs, ERs, and progress monitoring in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Provide small-group and individualized instruction.
• Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress and communicate with parents and staff.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff.
• Conduct FBAs and develop behavior support plans as needed.
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and school activities.

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Certification required.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and inclusive practices.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to move throughout the building and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable attendance and adherence to district policies.
• Other duties as assigned by administration.
