Junior Accountant

Position Title: Junior Accountant  

Position Type / Location / Compensation
• Full Time (37.5-hour work week, leaving at 1 p.m. each Friday)

• Compensation: $24 per hour

• Reports to: Accounting Manager

Position Overview:

Lebanon County Housing and Redevelopment Authority is looking for a skilled Junior Accountant responsible for accounting functions, financial reporting, reconciliations,

and general accounting functions. The Junior Accountant will be in a supporting role for the fiscal department assisting employees as needed. This is an on-site position.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Process, code and enter vendor invoices and utility bills directly into Yardi.

·        Handle vendor inquiries and statement reconciliation.

·        Create and post monthly billing invoices and receipts for various properties.

·        Perform regular bank reconciliations within Yardi.

·        Prepare and post journal entries and adjustments.

·        Assist with month end close and year-end audit work

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in accounting required.

• Minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience preferred.

• A strong attention to detail and an elevated level of accuracy.

• Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

• Experienced in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, QuickBooks and (Yardi software preferred).

• Must have initiative, good judgment, and tact.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Experience in governmental or non-profit accounting preferred.

• Physical condition commensurate with the duties of the position.

Work Environment:

• Office-based role with staff interactions.

• May involve occasional travel between offices within Lebanon County.

• Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and lift to 25 lbs.

• Must have reliable transportation.
