Lebanon Christian School – Lebanon, OH
Position Summary:
The Advancement Director will lead and grow the overall fundraising and advancement program at Lebanon Christian School (LCS). This includes building relationships with donors, overseeing fundraising events and campaigns, expanding annual giving, and providing leadership for the upcoming capital campaign. The Advancement Director will serve as both a strategist and a hands-on fundraiser, working closely with the Head of School, board, faculty, and volunteers to secure resources that sustain and grow LCS’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising & Donor Relations
- Develop and execute an annual advancement plan to grow giving from individuals, businesses, churches, and foundations.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with donors at all levels, with emphasis on major donors.
- Manage a portfolio of donors/prospects; conduct personal visits, solicitations, and follow-up.
- Partner with fund raising groups to implement the Pre-Campaign Study and capital campaign.
Communications & Events
- Oversee donor communications, including newsletters, appeals, thank-you letters, and impact reports.
- Plan and execute fundraising events that align with the school’s culture and mission.
- Share stories of impact that connect giving to student outcomes.
Leadership & Management
- Work with the Head of School and board to build a culture of generosity and philanthropy.
- Support the creation of a Development/Advancement Committee to provide guidance and accountability.
- Supervise clerical support staff or volunteers assigned to advancement tasks.
- Implement and maintain a lightweight CRM to track donor relationships, giving history, and follow-up needs.
Administration
- Monitor fundraising progress and report regularly to the Head of School and board.
- Manage advancement budget and ensure strong stewardship of donor gifts.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and financial standards in fundraising.
Qualifications
- A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with the mission and values of Lebanon Christian School.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFRE certification a plus.
- 5 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or related fields (nonprofit, education, ministry, or comparable).
- Proven ability to cultivate and solicit major gifts.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfort with donor databases/CRM systems and basic fundraising analytics.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
