What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher's Assistant position at Learning Tree Children's Academy?
Position Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Assistant Teacher to join our team! This individual will work closely with the Lead Teacher to create a safe, engaging, and joyful classroom environment. The ideal candidate loves working with children, thrives in a team setting, and brings enthusiasm and creativity to daily routines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lessons and classroom activities
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe learning environment
- Interact positively and respectfully with children, families, and teammates
- Foster a fun and engaging classroom atmosphere where every child feels valued
- Encourage age-appropriate learning through play, conversation, and guided activities
- Help with meal times, diapering/potty routines, and transitions throughout the day
- Observe and report any concerns about a child’s development or behavior to the Lead Teacher
- Participate in ongoing training and staff meetings
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience working with young children preferred
- Must meet any state licensing requirements for background checks and training
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A cheerful, patient, and playful demeanor
- Must be able to drive a small bus (no CDL required)
