Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, math, physical education, and social skills in line with early childhood education standards.
- Create a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies.
- Support children’s emotional well-being by applying early intervention techniques and understanding childhood development milestones.
- Plan and execute daily activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and physical activity, including teaching physical education and Montessori methods where applicable.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, including assessments aligned with standardized testing where necessary.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss developmental progress, behavioral concerns, and classroom updates.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive environment that supports child welfare and respects diverse backgrounds through attentive childcare practices.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
- Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention strategies, and childhood development principles.
- Experience with Montessori teaching methods or other specialized early childhood education approaches is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and families.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring techniques for young learners.
- Previous private school or daycare experience enhances your candidacy; certification in early childhood education is preferred.
