Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate individual to join our team as a Floater and After School Teacher. I will need someone to come in at 10:00 AM to start teachers lunch breaks, and then step in with the After Schoolers. This role is vital in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for children during after-school hours and beyond. As a key member of our educational community, you will foster childhood development through creative activities, structured learning, and personalized support. Responsibilities
- Manage classroom activities with enthusiasm, ensuring a structured yet flexible environment that promotes learning and fun.
- Supervise children during after-school hours, including homework assistance, recreational activities, and snack times.
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support early childhood education and developmental milestones.
- Maintain safety standards by practicing effective behavior management and classroom management techniques.
- Provide first aid when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of all children at all times.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and colleagues to support each child's individual needs, including those requiring special education or behavioral support.
- Organize engaging extracurricular activities such as sports coaching, theater arts, or other enrichment programs to foster creativity and teamwork.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare, preschool, camp, or tutoring environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting children with special needs or in inclusive classrooms is a plus.
