Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical activity, and social skills for three-year-olds.
• Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive interactions among children.
• Manage daily classroom activities with effective behavior management techniques to support children’s emotional regulation and social development.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong home-school connections.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of children's development and attendance.
• Incorporate early intervention strategies to support children with additional developmental needs or learning challenges.
• Lead activities that promote physical education, fine motor skills, and cognitive growth aligned with childhood development standards.

Skills

• Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings, particularly with toddlers aged three years old.
• Strong knowledge of child development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques.
• Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention methods, and behavior management strategies.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and physical activities suitable for young learners.
• Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certification.
• Experience teaching physical education or movement-based activities tailored for preschool-aged children.
• Demonstrated ability to create inclusive classrooms that support diverse learning needs and promote positive behavior.
