THIS POSITION DOESN'T STARTUNTIL AUGUST 2026 WHEN THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR STARTS!! This position is Monday-Friday for any after-school program that needs a sub!
The task of a SAS Substitute is to support high-quality school-age programming through leadership, staff support, program oversight, and partnership development while ensuring compliance with Learning Grove standards and state requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily program operations and provide leadership across multiple sites as needed.
- Supervise and support staff, enrichment providers, and volunteers.
- Provide ratio coverage and substitute support for regional sites.
- Ensure safe, engaging, and high-quality learning environments for children.
- Support curriculum implementation, enrichment activities, and positive behavior practices.
- Maintain compliance with licensing, STARS/SUTQ, accreditation, and grant requirements.
- Oversee documentation, incident reporting, budgets, invoices, and program resources.
- Support staff training, coaching, and professional development goals.
- Build positive relationships with schools, families, staff, and community partners.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, teamwork, and cultural responsiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Some post-secondary education preferred.
- Previous experience working with children preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to bend, move frequently, and walk stairs.
- Ability to remain active and engaged with children throughout the day.
