Our School Age Services program is a network of 30 programs that provide extended kindergarten, before- and after-school care for elementary-age children. Overview of the School Age Services instructional assistant role:
Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy learning environments for children with appropriate arrangement of materials, space, and supplies.
Supervise children at all times within sight and sound and adhere to daily schedule and transition times. Encourage children’s learning through discovery, curiosity, creativity and a healthy self-concept.

Minimum education, experience and other skill requirements for School Age Services instructional assistants:

- You must have a High School Diploma
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Some post-secondary education and experience with working with children preferred
- Completion of State Approved Orientation for Child Care Providers with implementation on a daily basis with support as needed from the Director/Assistant Director
