A well-established, multi-specialty and emergency veterinary hospital in the Miami area is seeking an experienced Specialty Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and strategic oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership across specialty and emergency services
- Support and mentor a team of veterinarians, specialists, and support staff
- Promote high standards of patient care and medical excellence
- Collaborate with hospital leadership on operational and clinical initiatives
- Guide medical protocols, quality improvement efforts, and best practices
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture across departments
- DVM or VMD from an accredited veterinary school
- Board-Certified Veterinary Specialist
- Eligible for veterinary licensure in the state of Florida
- DEA license (or ability to obtain)
- Demonstrated experience in clinical veterinary practice
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong mentoring and team development skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment
- Experience in medical management or clinical oversight
