Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Young Toddler Room team, ensuring high-quality care and education aligned with best practices in early childhood education.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for toddlers.
- Oversee classroom activities, lesson planning, and daily routines to create an engaging and structured environment conducive to learning.
- Support children’s individual needs through behavior management strategies, early intervention techniques, and tailored educational approaches.
- Foster strong communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on children’s progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, child welfare standards, and licensing requirements at all times.
- Mentor and train staff members in classroom management, curriculum development, and best practices in toddler care.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool setting, with a focus on toddlers.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing classroom teams and implementing educational programs.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development methods such as Montessori or other child-centered approaches.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and community partners.
- Ability to plan lessons that incorporate literacy education, physical activities including teaching physical education, and foundational math concepts suitable for toddlers.
- Certification or qualification in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; experience with special education or preschool experience is a plus.
