Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, numeracy, physical activity, and social skills for toddlers
• Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence
• Manage daily classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor activities with patience and professionalism
• Utilize behavior management strategies to guide positive social interactions and emotional regulation among children
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
• Maintain accurate records of child development progress, attendance, and incident reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan engaging lessons that incorporate Montessori methods or other early childhood education philosophies

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting is highly preferred
• Knowledge of child development principles and early intervention strategies for toddlers
• Familiarity with curriculum development, classroom management techniques, and behavior management practices
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
• Experience teaching physical education or implementing literacy education programs is advantageous
• Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and maintain confidentiality of student information
• Demonstrated passion for early childhood education and commitment to fostering a positive learning environment
