Job Overview

Duties

- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management.
- Conduct regular assessments of child development to tailor instruction and support individual learning needs.
- Engage in classroom management strategies to maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating space for children.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through regular updates and meetings.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to safeguard children's well-being at all times.
- Incorporate special education techniques and early intervention strategies to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Plan and lead activities that promote physical development, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, lesson plans, and progress reports.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood education best practices, Montessori methods, or other specialized curricula.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; classroom experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles, early intervention techniques, and childhood education standards.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, literacy education, standardized testing preparation, and behavior management strategies.
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in ECE preferred, High school Diploma required.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners effectively.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate math, literacy, physical activity, and social-emotional learning.
- Experience working with diverse learners including toddlers, children with special needs or those requiring additional support.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws to ensure compliance with legal requirements for child safety.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment.
