Duties
- Support lead teachers by assisting with daily classroom activities, including circle time, play-based learning, and nap routines
- Provide attentive supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of toddlers during all activities
- Help implement developmentally appropriate curriculum plans focused on childhood development and early learning milestones
- Engage children in age-appropriate play that encourages social skills, motor development, and curiosity
- Assist with classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting environment
- Support with diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed in accordance with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent care practices and effective communication across classrooms
Skills
- Experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings, especially with toddlers
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies that promote positive interactions
- First aid certification and familiarity with infant and toddler safety procedures
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain a calm, organized environment
- Compassionate caregiving skills combined with excellent communication abilities
- Ability to adapt quickly across different classrooms and support multiple age groups as needed
