Job Title: Orthopedic Staff RN
Location: Pikeville, KY 41501 (Must reside 75 miles from Pikeville, KY)
Job Type: 13-week travel contract
Shift Details: Nights | 3x12 hrs | 36 or 48 hrs/week
Job Summary:
The Surgical/Orthopedic Staff RN provides professional nursing care to pre- and post-operative patients across orthopedic, trauma, neurosurgical, bariatric, and general surgery populations. Utilizes the nursing process to deliver safe, evidence-based care while maintaining high standards of documentation, patient advocacy, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Duties:
- Provide skilled nursing care, assessments, and medication management in the patient’s home
- Develop and update individualized care plans based on patient needs and progress
- Educate patients and families on disease management, safety, and home-care procedures
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary home health teams
Skills & Education:
- Minimum 2 years Surgical/Orthopedic & Med/Surg experience required; 5 years preferred.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Strong competency with surgical nursing procedures and specialized equipment.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Active KY State or Compact state RN License - Required
- BLS/CPR – Required
- ACLS – Required
- NIHSS – Required
- EKG – Required

Pay: $2,800.00 - $3,060.00 per week
