Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of residential properties, ensuring exceptional service delivery and operational excellence. This role involves managing leasing activities, maintaining property standards, ensuring compliance with housing regulations, and fostering positive relationships with tenants and vendors. Duties
- Manage all aspects of property leasing, including marketing available units, conducting tours, and negotiating lease agreements to maximize occupancy rates.
- Oversee property maintenance and facilities management to ensure properties are safe, clean, and well-maintained, coordinating repairs and inspections as needed.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant laws, Section 8 programs, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other relevant legal standards.
- Utilize property management software such as Yardi or OneSite for data entry, rent collection, reporting, and record keeping.
- Prepare legal documents, contracts, notices, and maintain accurate filing systems in accordance with legal administrative procedures.
- Conduct regular property inspections and coordinate with vendors for property maintenance and repairs using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools.
- Upsell additional services or amenities to tenants to enhance resident satisfaction and retention.
- Maintain office operations through efficient administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, phone etiquette, and record keeping.
- Collaborate with leasing agents and sales teams to promote properties effectively while fostering positive customer relationships.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a strong understanding of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations.
- Familiarity with LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing assistance programs, Yardi or OneSite property management software, and CMMS tools.
- Demonstrated ability in conflict management, negotiation skills, and handling legal contracts related to property leasing.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette and a proactive approach to resolving tenant concerns.
- Strong organizational skills including data entry accuracy, filing systems management, and office experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of property maintenance procedures and facilities management practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Prior experience in sales or upselling services is preferred but not required; a positive attitude towards building long-term tenant relationships is essential.
