What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Improvement Coach position at Leaps and Bounds Family Services?
The Quality Improvement Coach role is a direct service role within the Great Start to Quality Resource Center system. Quality Improvement Coaches are responsible for supporting educators and programs through the quality improvement process and for implementing Practice-Based Coaching. Quality Improvement Coaches partner with educators and programs to understand quality improvement priorities, identify strengths and goals, prepare for and respond to quality observations, reflect on practice, and implement strategies that support meaningful and sustained changes in practice. Coaching is grounded in adult learning principles, reflective practice, relationship-based approaches, Practice-Based Coaching (PBC), and the Great Start to Quality statewide coaching framework.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, education, or a related field.
2. Three to five years of relevant professional experience in early childhood education, early childhood program quality improvement, coaching, consultation, professional learning, program administration, or a related area.
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned Resource Center region and provide support within early childhood program settings.
- Must possess excellent time management and commitment to accuracy.
- Committed Ability to use required technology systems for communication, documentation, data entry, virtual coaching, and reporting.
- Ability to use reflective, strengths-based, culturally responsive, and relationship-based approaches when supporting adult learners.
