Health & Safety Coach/ Resource Navigator

Responsible for facilitating LEPPT Orientation training and completing Health & Safety visits for License Exempt (LE) Providers within Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb Counties. This requires travel and field work within the region. Additionally, Resource Navigators provide technical assistance to providers and educators in the region with the MiRegistry database. Resource Navigators connect providers, educators, and families with appropriate community resources, training, and technical assistance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

       Health & Safety Coach:

1.     Conduct required home-based visits to monitor compliance using applicable tools and requirements, while applying a strength-based approach that recognizes provider strengths and supports continuous improvement.

2.     Determine and document compliance with health & safety standards. Including Corrective Action Plans when required with the appropriate notification sent based on the level of the non-compliance.

3.     Input Health & Safety checklist data into ECIC Communities website. Data entry must be done within the approved License Exempt Outreach Protocol deadlines.

4.     Connect providers and families with appropriate community resources, training, and networking opportunities.

5.     Facilitate using adult learning methods he LEPPT Orientation to fidelity.

6.     Adapt to provider schedules, work outside traditional hours when needed, travel throughout assigned regions, and work effectively in home-based settings.

7.      Work independently, manage competing priorities, follow established procedures, communicate progress, participate in peer learning, and complete responsibilities from start to finish.

Resource Navigator:

8.     Provide assistance to childcare providers and educators regarding the Great Start to Quality process through daily phone calls and emails.

9.     Connect providers and families with appropriate community resources, training, and networking opportunities.

10.  Manage multiple priorities, deadlines, records, and assignments while maintaining accuracy and consistency.

11.  Supports and provides technical assistance to providers and educators with the MiRegistry database. Support is available in person and virtually based on provider need.

12.  Effectively use web-based applications, MiRegistry database, and other technology required for the role.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1.     High school diploma or GED and MiRegistry Trainer approval.

2.     Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple tasks, analyze data and be detail oriented.

3.     Must possess excellent time management, commitment to accuracy, and a clean driving record

4.     Committed to working in an environment with a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds including race, gender, age, ethnicity, skill level and sexual orientation.
