Electrician

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Electrician in Mt pleasant, SC. The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems within various construction settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety procedures, the ability to read technical diagrams, and experience working effectively in a construction environment.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20 to $35 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

• Install, bend, and route conduit to accommodate wiring needs for construction projects.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams.
• Pull electrical wiring through conduit and connect to circuit breakers, transformers, and outlets.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical components including lighting fixtures, electrical panels, and switches.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using standard testing devices to ensure functionality.
• Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement corrective actions on the job site.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace while adhering to all OSHA safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other trades and supervisors to meet project timelines.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an electrician in a construction or commercial environment.
• Proficiency in using electrical hand tools and power equipment.
• Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and local regulations.
• Possession of necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and standard electrician hand tools.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the Mt Pleasant area.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a construction crew.
• Dependable and punctual with a commitment to job site safety.

Physical Requirements:

• Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and poles safely.
• Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions and environments typical of a construction site.
• Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
• Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, and walk for long periods of time.
• Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs.
• Must be capable of working in inclement conditions including extreme hot and cold temperatures.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $20 to $35 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
