The opportunity: defining and winning a new benefits category
We are hiring our first Head of Marketing to own the end-to-end strategy, brand narrative, and execution across our entire GTM motion. This is the opportunity to become the chief architect, builder, and owner of a function that will be foundational to Leap Health's mission.
Leap Health is at a critical inflection point. We are defining and winning the emerging category of high-impact Speciality Drug Benefit Management, having rapidly earned the trust of large, household-name self-funded employers. We are outpacing the growth trajectory of the most well known companies in the health benefits space because we deliver immediate and significant savings and make patient's lives tangibly better.
You will leverage this unique value proposition to define our category story, accelerate growth through the consultant and direct channels, and build the systems needed to scale. This role is a strategic player-coach position requiring both Executive IQ to shape the market and the hands-on execution ability to deliver high-impact collateral, campaigns, and systems from day one.
What you'll do
This role requires a T-shaped leader who can execute across core marketing functions and drive the prioritization of effort to maximize Leap Health's growth and market presence.
Category creation & narrative
- Chief storyteller: Own and evolve our brand, narrative, and positioning to define Leap Health as the inevitable market leader in speciality drug benefit management.
- Thought leadership: Collaborate directly with the CEO and Clinical leadership on high-level thought leadership, PR, and content that establishes Leap's healthcare credibility and authority with executive buyers.
- Evidence: Turn clinical, claims, and ROI outcomes into compliant, compelling stories (case studies, ROI models, one-pagers).
Go-to-Market Acceleration (GTM)
- Sales enablement: Architect and execute the high-impact enablement toolkit (decks, talk tracks, calculators, competitive narrative) that dramatically increases sales velocity and win rates for the enterprise GTM team.
- Partnership selling: Build and scale the consultant/partner marketing program, providing enablement, co-marketing, and communication strategies for strategic partners, brokers, and consultants to drive pipeline.
- Patient/member activation: Partner closely with Client Success to develop strategies and collateral that drive high patient engagement and activation through the employer channel, ensuring a superior member experience.
- Pipeline & growth: Deliver marketing-sourced and influenced pipeline for employer/TPA channels; launch paid/owned/earned channels and manage events; monitor CAC and time-to-payback.
Foundational leadership
- Strategy & planning: Architect the full marketing strategy and plan, setting the annual/quarterly budget, channel mix, and OKRs tied directly to pipeline and revenue outcomes.
- Team building: Start as a hands-on individual contributor and strategically hire, coach, and scale the future team across Brand, Growth, Product Marketing, and Operations.
What we're looking for
The ideal candidate blends executive-level strategic thinking with the deep, hands-on execution ability required for an early-stage company at an inflection point.
- B2B / Zero-to-One experience: 5 years of B2B marketing experience at best-in-class high-growth startups with a proven track record of building and scaling marketing functions from scratch.
- Player-coach mindset: Demonstrated comfort and success operating as both a strategic VP (setting vision, budget, metrics) and a hands-on contributor (writing content, building campaigns, creating decks).
- Healthcare B2B expertise: Direct and deep experience marketing complex solutions (benefits, tech, services) to self-funded employers, payers, or TPAs/consultants within the healthcare/benefits ecosystem.
- Product marketing & GTM: Exceptional expertise in Product Marketing, including refining ICPs, crafting competitive narratives, and executing high-quality, data-driven sales enablement.
- Cross-functional acumen: Proven ability to partner closely with Sales, Product, and Clinical leadership to influence roadmaps and align GTM efforts in an evidence-driven environment.
