Director of Operations / Multi-Unit Operations Leader
Location: Greater Austin or San Antonio, TX Area
A growing multi-unit restaurant organization is seeking an experienced operations leader to oversee a portfolio of high-volume quick service restaurants throughout Texas. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, talent development, and guest experience across multiple locations.
The ideal candidate has a strong background leading multi-unit restaurant operations in a drive-thru environment and is passionate about coaching teams, improving performance, and building strong restaurant cultures.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support multiple restaurant locations across an assigned market
• Drive sales growth, profitability, labor management, food cost controls, and operational execution
• Recruit, develop, and mentor General Managers and field leadership teams
• Ensure consistent execution of company standards, guest experience initiatives, and operational processes
• Analyze restaurant performance metrics and implement action plans to improve results
• Partner with restaurant leadership to develop succession plans and build talent pipelines
• Maintain a strong presence in the field through regular restaurant visits and coaching
• Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and operational excellence
Qualifications
• Multi-unit restaurant operations leadership experience required
• Experience overseeing quick service or fast casual restaurants with drive-thru operations strongly preferred
• Proven success managing P&L performance across multiple locations
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing management teams
• Strong operational, financial, and people leadership skills
• Ability to travel throughout an assigned market
Target Backgrounds
Candidates may currently hold titles such as:
District Manager, Area Supervisor, Area Coach, Area Manager, Area Leader, Field Leader, Market Coach, Director of Operations, Regional Manager, Regional Director, or Area Director.
Experience with leading quick service restaurant brands, drive-thru operations, or other high-volume multi-unit environments is highly preferred.
Compensation
Competitive base salary ranging from $85,000 to $125,000, depending on experience, plus bonus opportunity and benefits.
