Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities and, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
- Transfer clients safely as needed while adhering to proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and social interaction.
- Monitor and document changes in client behavior or health status, reporting any concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall quality of life for clients.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience in direct support or caregiving is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Ability to transfer clients safely and assist them with mobility as required.
- Strong cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic environment for clients.
- Experience in senior care or assisted living settings is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of first aid procedures is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential for success in this role.
