Position Summary
Lean Life Manufacturing is seeking a Food Production Manager to oversee our Portioning and Packaging Departments.
This position is responsible for keeping daily production organized, efficient, properly staffed, and on schedule. The Food Production Manager will oversee overall operations, coordinate production priorities, address issues as they arise, and ensure both departments are working together to meet production, quality, and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Portioning and Packaging Departments
- Ensure production goals, deadlines, and order requirements are met
- Monitor production progress and adjust staffing, priorities, or workflow as needed
- Identify and resolve production delays, bottlenecks, and operational issues
- Coordinate with Kitchen, Warehouse, Logistics, Quality, and other departments
- Ensure appropriate staffing and labor coverage based on production volume
- Monitor productivity, efficiency, downtime, waste, and overall department performance
- Support continuous improvement of production processes and workflow
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, GMP, quality, and workplace safety standards are followed
- Maintain an organized, accountable, and productive production environment
- Communicate production concerns, staffing needs, and operational updates to senior management
Qualifications
- Previous management experience in food manufacturing, food production, manufacturing, packaging, or a similar production environment
- Experience overseeing multiple departments or production areas preferred
- Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with staffing, labor management, production schedules, and deadlines
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, GMPs, and quality standards preferred
- Strong communication and cross-department collaboration skills
- Strong ability to prioritize, make decisions, and keep production on schedule
Compensation
$60,000 per year – Full-Time
