Job Title: UX/UI Designer 3

Location: Oakland, CA - Hybrid

Duration: 3 Months contract

Pay Rate: $60/hr - $63/hr on W2

Day to Day Responsibilities

The main function of a UX/UI Designer is to develop, create, and modify user interfaces through and understanding of end-user needs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Engages with the business development team and/or customer early on to seek a deeper appreciation of the customers’ business problem/goals.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
• Deliver high quality assets for each stage of the design process: initial ideations, low-fidelity wireframes, testable prototypes, and final dev-ready UI design files
• Employ and extend a company's design system when creating UI files
• Display "self starter" abilities, taking initiative and contributing to a wide range of projects in ways beyond what was initially required

Skills:

• Experience in professional, data-driven UI development
• Experience designing both responsive and mobile app interfaces
• Strong communication, presentation and problem solving skills
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and other members of the UX team
• Ability to effectively contribute to multiple concurrent projects through organizational skills and time management

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as design, art, communications, psychology or human-computer interaction required

• 5-7 years experience required

Required Skills (top 3 non-negotiables):

1. Figma

2. End-to-end design skills (ideation to wireframes to prototypes to final design deliverables)

3. Ability to collaborate effectively while working on several projects simultaneously

Preferred Skills (nice to have)

Jira, AI, MS PowerPoint, general presentation skills, UX research

Self starter
