Auto Body General Manager

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As General Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the daily operation and performance of the shop, including:

 Lead and manage all shop personnel, including technicians, estimators, office staff, and support employees

 Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards

 Oversee daily workflow to ensure vehicles move efficiently through the repair process

 Monitor production, cycle time, repair quality, and customer satisfaction

 Work closely with estimators and production staff to maximize efficiency and profitability

 Review shop performance and identify opportunities for improvement

 Help maintain strong relationships with insurance companies, customers, vendors, and business partners

 Ensure repairs are completed accurately, safely, and according to manufacturer and industry standards

 Monitor parts ordering, parts delays, supplements, and overall repair workflow

 Ensure the facility, equipment, and work areas remain organized, clean, and safe

 Assist with hiring, training, coaching, and development of employees

 Address employee performance issues and reinforce company policies

 Monitor labor, materials, and other operating expenses

 Help develop and implement processes and procedures that improve the shop

 Maintain compliance with company, environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements

 Step in wherever needed to keep the operation moving

 Represent Leading Edge Auto Body professionally within the community and automotive industry

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate will have:

 5 years of automotive collision repair or automotive management experience

 Experience using CCC One Management System

 Proven experience managing a team and overseeing day-to-day shop operations

 Strong knowledge of collision repair processes and shop workflow

 Experience with estimating and/or production operations

 Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

 Excellent communication and leadership abilities

 Experience & understanding of a body shop business model

 The ability to hold employees accountable while maintaining a positive work

environment

 Strong business judgment and an understanding of shop profitability

 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

 Strong customer service skills

 Computer proficiency and the ability to learn and utilize shop management systems

 A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

COMPENSATION

Base Salary: $100-$125K

Bonus: $15-$30K
