This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tool & Die Maker located in Oldsmar, FL. The Tool & Die Maker will be responsible for setting up and operating various machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. They will also be required to fabricate and modify parts to repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting engineering drawings, measuring and marking out metal stock, and fitting and assembling metal parts to produce mechanisms or tools. Additionally, the Tool & Die Maker will troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process and ensure that all produced parts meet the necessary specifications.
- Experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
- Skilled in setting up and operating machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
- Proficiency in fabricating and modifying parts to repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines
- Ability to troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process and adjust machinery as necessary
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measuring and marking out metal stock
- Good problem-solving skills and the capability to fit and assemble metal parts
- Proficient in using various hand tools and power tools to create mechanisms or tools
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; a technical degree or certification in machine technology or a related field is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
