Prototype CNC/EDM Specialist - Tampa, FL

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Tooling: Prototype and CNC Mill/EDM Specialist is responsible to support the Toolroom and Manufacturing by creating fixtures, prototypes or samples of potential new products for customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assists with new product development for samples, prototypes and tooling.

* Works with weld fixtures, pin gauges, one-hit dimple dies, and other welding support.

* Operates machines as needed.

* Design tooling and fixtures utilizing CAD-CAM/Solidworks software

* Operate CNC and EDM machines to support the Tool Room and Manufacturing needs

* Support other tooling projects as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* AS degree in Engineering Technology desired or equivalent work experience

* One year minimum of manufacturing experience

* Sheet metal experience desired

* ERP System experience desired

* Green Belt desired

* 3D CAD experience (Solidworks desired)

* As a member of the Quality Management System, quality procedures, requirements, work instructions, and other required documentation must be followed. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

* Works primarily in a climate controlled manufacturing environment with regular exposure to dust, odors, oil, and fumes with moderate noise. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility.

* Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending, and reaching.

* PPE required may include safety glasses and gloves in designated areas of the facility.
