Role Overview
We are seeking a Director to join our New York Financial Services practice. In this senior leadership role, you will drive practice growth, lead high-profile client engagements, and serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives across banks, capital markets firms, asset managers, and fintechs.
You will be responsible for originating new business, building strategic client relationships, overseeing complex project delivery, and mentoring the next generation of consulting talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Growth: Originate and close new client engagements, manage pipeline development, and lead RFP responses to achieve annual practice revenue targets.
- Executive Relationship Management: Serve as a primary relationship owner and trusted advisor to senior executive stakeholders (C-Suite, EVPs, SVPs) across the financial sector.
- Engagement Oversight: Direct high-impact consulting engagements, ensuring quality control, strategic alignment, and profitable delivery across project portfolios.
- Practice & Thought Leadership: Develop market-facing insights, service offerings, and go-to-market strategies tailored to evolving financial industry trends.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and build high-performing consulting teams, fostering a culture of professional growth and execution excellence.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10–15 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in management consulting focused on the financial services sector.
- Track Record: Proven ability to generate new business (attributable revenue generation) and manage a multi-million-dollar portfolio of clients.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA or relevant Master's strongly preferred).
- Leadership: Exceptional executive presence, negotiation, communication, and team-building skills.
Salary : $225,000 - $275,000
